The National Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2024, held alongside the 52nd Anniversary of the ISMM, celebrated exceptional achievements in the supply chain sector by honoring both leading organizations and outstanding professionals. The event featured Eng. Chris Oanda, President of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), as the Chief Guest, along with Special Guest Mr. Markku Henttinen, CEO of IFPSM, and ISMM President Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa.
The Large Scale category saw intense competition, with 28 finalists from over 40 applicants. JayKay Marketing Services (Pvt) Ltd won the Service sector award, followed by Logistics Park (Pvt) Ltd and Spectra Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. In the Manufacturing sector, Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd was named the winner.
For the Medium Scale category, MAC Supply Chain Solutions (Pvt) Ltd emerged as the top performer in the Service sector, with Logicentrix (Pvt) Ltd as First Runner-up. In Manufacturing, Everbolt Engineering (Pvt) Ltd claimed the top award, followed by Micro Electric International (Pvt) Ltd as First Runner-up and a Special Commendation for Logicare (Pvt) Ltd.
In the Small Scale category, Vanila Lanka (Pvt) Ltd was awarded Best Supply Chain Practicing Organization of the Year 2024, with Oleema Industries (Private) Limited and Sanjeewanie Ayurveda (Pvt) Ltd as First and Second Runner-up, respectively, and a Special Commendation going to Inventive Polymers Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
Special Commendation Awards were presented to Hayleys Fentons Limited, Ceylon Agro Industries Limited, Alumex PLC, Haycarb PLC, Ceylon Biscuits Limited, Dipped Products PLC, State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation, Smithkline Beecham (Pvt) Ltd, Yokohama TWS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Atire (Pvt) Ltd, Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited, and Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC. Commendation Awards went to Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC, Orit Apparels Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Sunshine Consumer Lanka Limited, Ansell Textiles Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Abans PLC, Nestle Lanka Limited, CIC Holdings PLC, D. Samson Industries (Pvt) Ltd, and Hemas Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd.
In addition, the National Award of Excellence for the Best Supply Chain Professional of the Year 2024 highlighted five distinguished finalists: Mr. Sasanka Jayadasa, Director - Supply Chain at Yokohama TWS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd; Mr. Kasun Perera, Head of Central Planning at Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd; Mr. Lakmal Senanayake, Senior Manager – Logistics at Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited; Mr. Chamila Yakupitiyage, Logistics Manager - Outbound Logistics at Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited; and Mr. Indika Kumara, Head of 3P & 2P Operations at Unilever Sri Lanka Limited. Mr. Lakmal Senanayake was named Second Runner-up, Mr. Indika Kumara took First Runner-up, and Mr. Sasanka Jayadasa received the top honor. Merit Awards were presented to Mr. Chamila Yakupitiyage and Mr. Kasun Perera for their exceptional contributions.
